The Highlights
Steps Insitu is eager and excited to release our first wave of open-ended scenarios just in time for IMSH 2021!! This first release will be a great tool to use for training your maternal child health care team. With the combination of different team skill levels, and open-ended scenarios the possibilities are endless. We are currently working on our next additional group of scenarios for NICU Emergencies. With Steps Insitu, the possibilities are endless.
First release of scenarios will include:
38-Week Staff Assist, Maternal Bleeding *Available to all, part of the general accounts.
You are called to an emergent delivery of a full-term infant with severe respiratory distress and history of maternal postpartum hemorrhage.
Full term: Staff assist to mother baby unit (MBU) for depressed infant
An emergent page to a room in MBU for assistance leads a NICU team to act to resuscitate and stabilize a term infant who is a victim of positional asphyxia.
39 Week Prolonged Rupture of Membranes for 36 hours
A term delivery takes a turn for the worse when resuscitation efforts are not successful and infant shows prolonged respiratory depression.
25-week gestation, born in the field
You are called to the ER to receive a 25-week gestation infant born in the ER parking lot in the ambulance. The infant will arrive in a blanket from outside the room.
30 Week Multiples (A)
You received a call from L&D that they have a mom of multiples, who is ready to deliver the infants soon. Your team is requested to attend the delivery.
30 Week Multiples (B)
You received a call from L&D that they have a mom of multiples, who is ready to deliver the infants soon. Your team is requested to attend the delivery.
