It was last year that I walked the halls of the San Diego Convention Center at IMSH 2020 to see if anyone has a similar idea to what I was creating. It was an experience that I will never forget. I got to meet the greatest group of “Simulation Nerds” and witnessed the most amazing tech in healthcare simulation… Seriously they were performing a surgery in the middle of the showroom using a cut suit which looked so real! If you are not squeamish look it up, it is seriously cool stuff. It was also there that I experienced the SimVentors showcase, a place for innovators to show off what they have worked on for the betterment of simulation. Since my innovation at the time remained unchallenged, I decided to put my plan into action, this is where I could put Steps Insitu on display. I submitted my abstract as soon as I was able to while working on bringing Steps Insitu to life. A year, and many revisions later (thanks to my patient team!) we are finally ready to show what our hard work can do for the simulation community. As cool as it would have been to present at the conference live, 2020 has been a tough year for many. I have strong faith that IMSH will continue to give an experience that will be unforgettable for all who attend.
We are so excited to be able to present our application Steps Insitu for all, not only that but what better place to kick off Steps Insitu than at IMSH 2021! We look forward to sharing all our hard work with all of you to help improve simulation everywhere.
